Paige Loves To Party

Sorry for the poor picture quality...it was completely dark in there minus the strobe lights! :)

As I am trying to catch up the past month and a half, I am doing some mass posts here. We had two birthday parties in October. The first being Paige's cousin Hannah, who turned 7, had a swimming party at the YMCA. The following week, another cousin, Jasmine, turned 13 and had a surprise party involving a lot of teenagers, a live DJ, and a lot of food. Paige absolutley loves a good party. She had a great time swimming and an even better time dancin' the night away at Jasmine's party! She keeps asking me to go back to the party because she's forgotten how to do the chicken dance!

Fair FUN

Notice the multiple bruises on Logan's forehead (not dirt) he's just an active boy!

The kids had a lot of fun at the fair this year. Paige had a great time riding all the rides with her cousins Hannah and Emma. She wasn't scared of anything, the faster the better! Poor Logan was stuck watching the girls, except for one little car ride. He was a great sport through it all, and even he had a good time too!

Randall Park

We took the kids to Randall Park yesterday afternoon. They loved feeding the ducks (as long as the ducks didn't get too close). They ran and played together the whole time!

Day Trip

We took a day trip a few weeks ago to Tri Cities to go to their park on the river. The kids had a great time playing in the river, on toys, in the water play park, and taking a ride on the train around the park.

Elephant = Dumbo

Paige saw these two elephants at Children's Hospital and ran up to them and hugged them. She thought the little one was Dumbo (who she has been in love with since Disneyland). She later had to bring her stuffed Dumbo from Disneyland to see these "Dumbos."

Logan's Lump Continued

Unfortunately, Logan's lump didn't get better as previously thought by his doctors (see prior posting). We were home for two days when we noticed it getting bigger. So, off to Children's Hospital in Seattle we went. They had a lot of trouble getting his IV started. It took them over ten pokes in almost 24 hours to get it. After that was taken care of, everything went smoothly. He had surgery Friday afternoon to remove a large abscess in his neck. He was back in his room two hours later and back to his usual energetic playful self. You would have never known anything was wrong had it not been for the giant bandage on his neck!

Logan's Lump

Logan spent four days in the hospital over this past weekend for a swollen lymph node in his neck. He woke up last Wednesday morning with this hard lump on the right side of his neck. We stayed home on oral antibiotics until Friday morning, without any changes, the doctors wanted to try IV antibiotics. After four days of IV antibiotics, and slight improvement, we came back home. They think it is going to take awhile for his neck to get back to normal size and the lump to go away. He was pretty good through the whole experience, mostly happy the whole time. We are happy to be back home, and will be even happier when his lump goes away!

Paige and the flowerpots

This is Paige proudly examining our flowerpots.
I am not sure what I did when taking the picture with the coloring,
but I thought it turned out neat anyway!
She loves helping take care of and water the flowers.
She is quite proud of how well they are growing!

Paige Enjoying the Sprinklers

This is a picture of Paige running through the sprinklers in our front yard. She is so easy to please. She ran and ran for hours. You won't see a picture of Logan out there, he cried any time the water touched him, I think he thought he would melt.

California Trip

Our family went to California with Grandma Sandy and Grandpa Lloyd a few weeks ago. The kids had an absolute blast. They were pretty good throughout the trip. These are pictures from Universal Studios. Paige really enjoyed meeting all the characters.

Seaworld

Paige was all about posing for the camera at Seaworld. Logan is harder to get in a good pose, he loves pointing at the camera. So these are two kinds of pictures we got of him; pointing, or those when he didn't know he was getting his picture taken. I think this was Logan's favorite part of our trip. He loved all the "fishies."

Disneyland--April 2008

We had a fabulous time in Disneyland! Paige, especially, was in heaven! She loved all the rides she was tall enough to ride (which was quite a few, including the Matterhorn, or "Snowy Mountain" in her words). She had the biggest smile on her face the entire time. It was so nice to see her so happy. Her favorite ride was Dumbo, and her new favorite toy since getting home, is the stuffed Dumbo she bought at the souvenier shop.

The McLaughlin's Come to Town

Our friends, Bryan, Jessica, Jake, and Kate came from Medford to visit last week. The kids had such a great time playing together. Although Paige and Jake have only played together a handful of times in their short lives, Paige always remembers him, and has such a great time with him. They were all so cute to watch together, although difficult to get a good picture of!

Renelle's B-day

Paige was very excited to learn that it was my birthday. She asked me all day when Julie was going to bring "the birthday." I finally realized to her, "the birthday" is the CAKE! (Aunt Julie usually makes the birthday cakes for the kids' parties). So, when Jared got off work, he and Paige went to the store to buy mommy a cake. She really enjoyed placing the candles and singing "Happy Birthday!"

All Smiles

Logan is one of the happiest babies ever! He is always grinning with a full mouth of teeth!

Paige Turns 3

Paige's long awaited birthday has finally come and gone! (Maybe she won't ask us 100 times a day when her birthday will come...) She had a great time with all her cousins--the princess cake and all the presents were her favorite parts of her special day. We just can't believe how fast she is growing up!

Boy in a Box

Logan really enjoyed playing in this huge box from our bathroom vanity we just bought. He and Paige played in it for hours!

Sacked Out

Sometimes, when Paige lays down for a nap, it takes her awhile to actually go to sleep. This was one of those days. When I went into check on her I found her asleep, laying sideways in her bed, it didn't look comfortable at all!

Paige enjoys basketball, almost as much as her dad and uncle Dustin!

Snowman Fun

Paige decided she wanted to make a snowman today. This was her first experience in playing with the snow (only because we have not been brave enough to take her out in the cold). She was pretty skiddish, as she seems to be with anything new. She was very hesitant to even walk in it, she did enjoy picking it up and trying to make the snowman. But she didn't like how her feet fell into the snow when she walked (we have about 6 inches on the ground). All in all, we built a very small snowman, as it wasn't very good snoman-making snow, and we got a few cute pics! I think she liked the whole experience, because when I was ready to come in, she cried and cried (hence, the reason we have deprived her of playing in the snow this year!)

Hello!

I have decided to start this blog site to post pictures of our two kids. We take so many pictures and don't always get to share them with you, our family and friends. This way, if we capture a really cute shot, you can see it too! Check back as often or as little as you like. I don't know how often I will post new pics, but I will do my best!

Thanks for looking!
